Is your school giving you nearly £400 worth of tuition for free?
Good evening,
It's g2T here, we don’t know where you're reading from but, we are on your screen. So thank you for giving our article a read.
We hope you are all well. All of our students will now be off for their summer break - give this article a read to find out more on how your school could be giving you extra tuition for free.
You can pose questions to us through the comments section below or drop us a message via Whatsapp. We'll either reply or post them and respond to them publicly.
The bare minimum we suggest is to book a session with us, to qualify for a free assessment session where we thoroughly assess the students' knowledge gaps - usually this is worth £25!
What is the national tutoring program?
The national tutors program is an initiative that's been set up by a group of charities to support schools in responding to the impact of the pandemic on learning.
The charity work identified that the pandemic has increased the attainment gap between students who are eligible for free school meals and their peers.
In fact the magnitude of that impact might be large enough that it reverses the progress we've made as a system on narrowing the gap over the last decade.
As a result, charities looked at evidence on what some of the most effective approaches were to counter/rectify the problem.
According to the evidence base tutoring comes near the top of that list and so the national tutoring program is an effort to increase the availability of high quality tutoring, to as many schools as possible - in particular disadvantaged students.
The purpose is to get external high quality tutors into schools to improve the attainment of pupils.
The program is meant to support schools by bringing in additional teaching capacity to support pupils.
If you are moving to year 11 from year 10 and have been struggling with your studies/grades - give us a call or drop us a message via Whatsapp to book a place on our summer revision crash course.
Whose affected the most?
Disadvantaged students are likely to be particularly negatively affected by lockdown.
However, each experience of the pandemic is different and so schools have some flexibility in terms of selecting the pupils that will have access to additional tutoring.
As a country we spend over a billion pounds a year on tutoring but that is typically targeted at families and peoples that can afford it - the national tutoring program is trying to redress that.
At g2T we are offering a range of revision courses at customer-friendly prices/discounts. We are here to help our students achieve academic success. Education is important and you won’t find any other tuition centre offering what we do, at the price we do. You can read through our brochure or contact us at 07735 480 230, to speak to a member of our team to find out what we offer to customers.
