GCSE 9-1 Explained
The new system has replaced the old A* to G system. Under the new system a 9 is equivalent to an A* and a 4/5 equated to low/high C. The higher the number achieved in examination the better the grade. Ultimately, all students should aim to achieve a 5 and above as it is considered as a strong pass.
Pass or Fail
There are two types of pass marks.
A 4 = a pass and a 5 = a strong pass.
